BE ACTIVATED LEVEL 1- MONTREAL- CANADA @ Downtown YMCA | Montréal | Québec | Canada

Gain the understanding, confidence, and techniques needed to begin to treat your patients/clients and see immediate results with the two-day Be Activated course.

Upon completion, you will understand the philosophy, the framework, and the specific techniques to enable you to implement and integrate these methods seamlessly into your practice.

Founded in anatomical expertise, but based on a simple 1,2,3 philosophy of sequencing, the system pinpoints why and where the body breaks down and becomes dysfunctional. A series of simple functional tests highlight treatable problems such as weakness, poor muscle patterning and reduced range of movement. Manual techniques which require no great force can then be applied in any situation to any individual. The procedures give an objective measure to guide your effect, which is instant. This treatment with simple follow up exercises can then be taught to your patient to continue at home so they can continue the effect.

We’ll demonstrate common issues or patterns, termed “defensive” patterns that result in muscular limitations. Much like we all have different postures, the body can be held in some positions that are helpful, and some detrimental. Associated tension can limit muscle activity, strength and range of motion.

We’l look at how to “re-activate”’ these muscles to release those defensive patterns. Instantly measureable benefits include increased muscle power and increased range of motion.

Be Activated is not only used for treating injuries and enhancing sporting performance, but also as an effective tool for stress management creating a therapeutic option to break the patterns that often cause chronic pain.

The course is aimed at health and exercise practitioners, especially physiotherapists, personal trainers, osteopaths, doctors, sports therapists/rehabilitators, sports massage therapists, coaches and other exercise specialists. It is not limited to sport and has applications for all ages and levels of ability.

PART 1 SPECIFICS:

You will be introduced to the concept of Be Activated and the body’s response to stress will be considered. Relaxation will then be discussed and linked into the Activation process. You will then be guided through a sequenced treatment process from the trunk through to the lower limb and upper limb. There is plenty of time for practice, questions and more practice. The goal is to leave you fully equipped to apply these techniques with your clients and to be confident in the results. These techniques are not confined to the clinic but can be applied anywhere at any time, giving you flexibility and empowering your patients.
